WHO WE ARE

Velya (“we”, “our”, “us”) is an AI-powered SaaS that helps businesses manage client messages, confirm leads, and respond to customer inquiries across social channels including Instagram and Facebook. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use our services and Facebook/Instagram integrations.

1. Information We Collect

When you connect your Facebook Page or Instagram Business account to Velya, we may collect the following information via the official Meta Graph APIs with your explicit permission:

  • Account & Page Information: Name, business name, profile picture, Page ID, Page name, Instagram Business Account ID, and related metadata.
  • Messages & Comments: Content of messages, comments, and inquiries received on connected social accounts so our AI can assist with responses and lead qualification.
  • Lead Data: Information submitted by potential customers via forms, DMs, or other lead capture methods (e.g., contact details, preferences, and conversation history), as configured by you.
  • Technical Data: Device and browser info, IP address, timestamps, and usage diagnostics needed to operate and improve the service.

We do not collect your passwords or sensitive authentication credentials. Authentication uses OAuth and access tokens provided by Meta.

2. How We Use Information

  1. Provide and operate the service (message management, AI replies, lead confirmation).
  2. Integrate with Facebook/Instagram APIs to send/receive messages and access lead data per your permissions.
  3. Improve quality and safety (e.g., model tuning, spam/abuse prevention). We may use aggregated or de‑identified data for analytics and service improvement.
  4. Provide customer support and resolve issues.
  5. Comply with applicable laws and platform requirements.

We do not sell personal data.

3. Data Sharing

  • With Meta Platforms (Facebook/Instagram): We share data only as necessary to perform actions you request through the Graph APIs and in accordance with your granted permissions.
  • Service Providers: Trusted vendors (e.g., cloud hosting, logging, analytics, AI processing) under contracts that require confidentiality and data protection at least as strong as this policy.
  • Legal: To comply with laws, lawful requests, or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of our users and services.

4. Data Storage & Security

Data is stored securely on Google Cloud Platform with encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Access is restricted to authorized personnel who need it to operate the service and is governed by role‑based controls, audit logging, and least‑privilege principles.

5. Data Retention

We retain conversation and lead data only for as long as needed to provide the service, fulfill the purposes described above, or as required by law. You can request deletion earlier (see Data Deletion).

6. Your Rights

  • Access, correct, or delete your data.
  • Revoke permissions and disconnect integrations from Velya at any time via our dashboard or your Meta Business Integrations settings.
  • Request a copy of your data by emailing velyaassistant@gmail.com.

7. Children’s Privacy

Velya is not intended for individuals under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Our platform integrates with Meta (Facebook & Instagram) in accordance with their policies. Your use of those services is also governed by their terms and privacy policies:

9. Data Deletion (Facebook requirement)

If you wish to delete your data collected by Velya via Facebook or Instagram, you can do so in one of the following ways:

  1. In Velya: Log in to your Velya dashboard → Settings →Privacy → Delete My Data, then follow the prompts.
  2. Via Meta Business Integrations: Go to your Facebook settings →Business Integrations → select Velya → choose Remove and request data deletion when prompted.
  3. By Email: Send a request to velyaassistant@gmail.comfrom the email associated with your account. We will confirm and fulfill the request within 30 days, subject to any legal obligations.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post updates on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. Material changes will be communicated via email or in‑app notice.
